Child of God, Your Father is Near
While holding my only child tonight, my son, you could tell he was tired and ready for bed.... he just wanted to be held. Trying to handle a toddler can be challenging, and now as a single parent some days are harder than others. But in that moment of my son crying and wanting to be held, I finally understand that's all he wanted and needed in that moment. Sometimes we all just need to be held, and told it's okay... it's going to be alright. As I played calming music in the background with a sweet rabbit on it I was overwhelmed with the thought of God doing this for His children, holding us and saying I'm here and it's okay now. Whoever needs to know and hear this, even when you feel alone you are never alone.... God is holding your hand in your season. Whatever season that is, grief, heartache, financial struggles, divorce, marriage struggles, broken family, miscarriage, etc. God is wanting to be there for you, and is.... but sometimes we still want to be in control and hold on to what we want to hold on to and fix things our way. I know your heart is heavy, and I hate it and I'm sorry you are hurting. The pain and hurt we go through in life will make us all stronger in some shape of form.

The past year has been a world wind, I've discovered lies, manipulation, broken trust, and anger I never knew I had in me. My world was turned upside down where I've had to start over, but God has blessed me through my season of hurt and pain. I've grown stronger, and He is teaching me new things of myself, about His love and how to fully rely on Him. God is faithful. Things may not be how we want them, or turn out how we think they should, but Gods plan is going to be and will always be better. We just have to trust that and run to His loving arms, He is ready to hold you and for you to unload that weight you've been carrying.... what a love that is. He is always waiting with open arms. I hope and pray for us all to rest and see that image of God welcoming us as His children and wanting only the best for us.
I pray we can lay it down tonight whatever you or I are holding on too.
Lord, our Heavenly Father, thank you for your love and goodness you've placed in each of our lives. Thank you for our homes, our breath in our lungs today, and for giving us another day to serve and live for you. Let our hearts, minds and spirits be cleansed of your love and goodness and lead us closer and closer to you in each moment we walk along everyday. I pray we can lay down our burdens and fears at your feet tonight and let you be in control. Your plan is all we want even though it's scary at times to wait and trust. But we give it over to you and know your will be done in your timing. Your timing is the best and we trust that. You provide our every need and more and we thank you and know you are good. You are always good. Thank you for the hard seasons in life that help mold us into stronger children for your purpose in our lives and for us to help others from our experiences. We love you and we ask all these things in your name, amen.
